Ok, let’s look at Romeo & Juliet / Love Story / Falling In Love.

First, the movie is about ROMEO & JULIET: Director Franco Zeffirelli’s 1968 version of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet was touted at the time of its release (successfully, if the box-office receipts are any indication), as something of a “youth trip” movie. This is because Zeffirelli broke the long-standing tradition of casting over-aged, sometimes grey-haired players in the title roles. Seventeen-year-old Leonard Whiting plays Romeo, with 15-year-old Olivia Hussey as Juliet. The youthfulness and inexperience of the leading players works beautifully in the more passionate sequences (some of these breaking further ground by being played in the nude). Among the younger players are Michael York as Tybalt and John McEnery as Mercutio. The duel between Romeo and Tybalt starts out as a harmless, frat-boy exchange of insults, then escalates into tragedy before any of the participants are fully aware of what has happened. Photographed by Pasqualino DeSantis on various locations in Italy, Romeo and Juliet was one of the most profitable film adaptations of Shakespeare ever produced. Its most lasting legacy is its popular main theme music, composed by Nino Rota. LOVE STORY: Love means never having to say you’re sorry… Love Story. Everyone loves Love Story! Stars Ryan O’Neal and Ali MacGraw each received Academy Award. nominations and became overnight movie sensations for their poignant portrayals of a young couple who cross social barriers, marry and ultimately face the greatest crisis of all. FALLING IN LOVE: Falling In Love is a shining example of the magic that’s created when two of Hollywood’s biggest and brightest stars join forces in one special film. Multiple Academy Award Winners Robert De Niro and Meryl Streep are together again for the first time since The Deer Hunter. In Falling In Love they play Frank Raftis and Molly Gilmore, two everyday people who meet first by chance, and later by choice. There’s just one thing standing between Frank and Molly’s intense, newfound love-both are already married. It’s a genuine modern dilemma, and De Niro, Streep and a fine supporting cast bring the story to life with flair and sensitivity..

I really enjoyed the performace of Love Story and Love Story. The rest of the cast was solid as well. The cast includes Romeo & Juliet, Love Story, Falling in Love.
